" The Cove"
a film to rival Shark Water will be shown at the Black Bull, 7.30pm. Free Chips and Free entry to club members and families: Please note this is a 12 certificate so no little ones please.
Annual BQ will take place this year at the Rez...not just one day ...but a full weekend of camping fun
3rd to 5th Sept
I did not even want to take a shower, let alone go cave diving
Ever fancied a go at cave diving…but were too afraid
This September you will get the chance, ok it’s not a cave but it’s a great experience…
The Rez will be the venue for this years annual BQ taking place on the 4th September 2010.
This years event is bigger and better and is a full weekend of camping…...diving...…fun…...
laughter and maybe a beer or two
The Rez… is situated at Longsdon Stoke on Trent is a Excellent night diving facility …Intro to Cave Diving and Overhead environment, ideal for line laying practice. At only 2m the dive experience is relatively safe but very deceptive, spatial awareness is altered by the darkness and the internal structure of the facility
The Rez has it’s own café on site so instead of packing up the camping stove you can purchase sandwiches both hot and cold for breakfast Sat and Sun morning…this also leaves more space in your cooler for beers...…Hic. Diving is limited (12 only) so please book early (if the numbers are higher I am sure that we may be able to book two slots but …no promises)
The club will be subsidizing the event...so you can go diving and eat (BQ only) for only £12.00 each, …non divers or family and friends will cost £6.00 each for the BQ.
If camping you will have pay the Rez on the day, this will only cost £2.50 per head, any sandwiches purchased from the Rez canteen again will have to paid by ones self.
Plan of action
(camping is optional…stop the weekend or just the day…it’s your choice)
Friday 3rd Camping at the Rez Turn up Fri afternoon / early evening
Saturday 4th breakfast at the Rez Canteen
Saturday 4th Diving followed by BQ provided and cooked by the Rez… followed by laughter and couple of drinks.
Sunday 5th Breakfast at the Rez canteen
Sunday afternoon dinner at local pub (TBA) rekey will be carried out by campers Friday night for Sunday lunch accommodation
Dogs are welcome with the usual restrictions of leads and cleaning up. The Rez have there own dogs that live on site …they also have free range chickens. Please also bear in mind that the Rez have neighbours that live on site so we hope that the group will not be unduly noisy at night or early morning. They do not have showers on site but the toilet facilities can accommodate modest ablutions.
The Rez can provide Volley ball and other lawn games at no extra cost
RobinHood Watersports will be holding an Capernwray dive day on Sun 31st July...all are welcome and the shop will also be providing new dive gear to try out on the day
