Hello Divers! Well here we are in 2012! It is a big year for Roho dive club as it is ten years since the club was formed! Ten years have seen many divers develop skills and gain valuable experience in the sea, visiting some of the top dive sites the UK have to offer. This year's trip calendar is now available on the website and offers many great trips, weekends and day trips to suit all budgets and experience levels. The membership fees will remain fixed at just £40.00. The third party liability insurance will be purchased by individuals by following the link on our website. The AGM will be held on Thursday 1st of March. If you have anything you wish to have on the agenda please email Jared West or myself ASAP. The committee elections will be held at the meeting, should you wish to stand for the committee please contact Jared or myself. This year's Photo competition will be judged on the evening of the 15th March. All entries for the competition should be sent to Paul Holroyd and clearly marked with your name, and category. This year there will be three categories with prizes. Topside, green water and blue water. In addition to this will be a "just for fun" category which can be captioned or photoshopped. Come along to meetings to find out more about these events and the other up and coming master classes on being a trip sec, navigation, and how to dive safely. See you there! We are pleased to announce that the 2012 Dive Calendar is now complete and is available to download on the web sie. We have exciting visits to the usual but popular sites such as St Abbs, the Farne Islands, Anglesey and Tynemouth. In addition this year we have a 4 day visit to Lochaline which was a resounding success last time round the year before last. Our big trip, and one taking us out of our comfort zone is the proposed visit to Malta where we will get the opportunity over 10 dives to visit Gozo and Comino as well as the excellent wreck and reef sites round Malta.I don't need to big it up for you, there are plenty of magazine articles that can and will do a better job than me.Details are on our Facebook page and I have attached a flyer with all the details. One important factor is that this trip is also open to non club members and, so no excuse now for not bringing the wife/husband. This is an adults only trip unless the children are over 14 AND are fully qualified divers of AOW and above. This is to try to differentiate between a dive trip and a family holiday. It is imperative that flights are booked early as this could increase the cost of your holiday. To all club members and Facebook members. We have agreed to drop the word 'Independent' from Robin Hood Independent Dive Club. This was originally added to show that we weren't affiliated to any particular diving body such as BSAC or PADI. We have reverted to Robin Hood Dive Club so that there can be no confusion that we are 100% behind Robin Hood Watersports with whom we have a special relationship.
